Bioline Publications is an online bibliographic service, focusing on microbiology, biotechnology, biodiversity, bioinformatics, biosafety and biopolicy. The service is provided by Bioline Publications in association with the Base de Dados Tropical (BDT), Brazil. It incorporates commercial and not-for-profit journals, as well as reports, newsletters, conference proceedings and books. Accessible via the BDT WWW server.

Abstracts and summaries of papers in journals, contents lists and summaries of reports and newsletters are all available free of charge, without registration. Readers may browse using the menus, or make searches by keyword.
If full text and graphics are required, subscription is necessary. An online registration form is available. Users may either take out annual subscriptions or may purchase single documents. Credit Cards may be used to pay for subscriptions or to register for the future purchase of documents. Documents may be viewed online or delivered by e-mail.
In addition to the main document delivery service, there are a number of associated services that include: Discussion Fora for three online-only journals (to which text, images and videos may be submitted), a Bulletin Board, Bioline mail, software store, News, Links to other Internet resources, a scientific suppliers’ database.’
