Organizing Progressive Philanthropy
EDGE members are part of a global philanthropic network committed to systemic change for a more just and equitable world. EDGE Funders offers a variety of spaces for members to build community and conspire to change philanthropy, and we are excited to continuously co-shape new spaces for deep collaboration in partnership with our community.
EDGE Members Action PODs
Member Action PODs (Philanthropy Organizing to Deliver) are specialized forums within EDGE designed to foster peer collaboration, problem-solving, and action-oriented dialogue among members. These spaces serve as platforms for members to organize, strategize, and take collective action on specific topics relevant to philanthropy and social justice. PODs focus on agroecology and Land Sovereignty, roles of global intermediaries, funding movements and racial justice.
EDGEy Wednesday
The EDGEy Wednesdays are 90 minute open-space meetings hosted by EDGE, in which EDGE members can propose and facilitate conversations around topics they feel passionate about and believe other EDGE members could benefit from. The objective of offering this space is to allow people to connect in a like minded peer community, share current challenges, share and uplift inspiring and transformative examples on how philanthropy can respond to systemic crises.
Global Engagement Lab
Entering its fifth year, the Global Engagement Lab is a training program for progressive funders, which fosters personal transformation and relationship-building in order to deepen philanthropy’s understanding and practice of systemic change.
Regional Breakfast Meetings & Transatlantic Snacks
These spaces are community building tools that allows cross-member collaboration and knowledge sharing: an asset to the EDGE membership network offerings.
Regional Members’ Retreats
A retreat focused on community building for members with others in their region, which includes open spaces for members to share knowledge amongst themselves and their main focus are members getting to know each other and EDGE better.
