The Conference resulted in the signature of a number of major documents: the Convention on Biological Diversity; Framework Convention on Climate Change; Agreement on Forest Principles; Rio Declaration (see separate entries for information on these and the institutions set up to manage them) and Agenda 21. Follow up actions to the conference are managed by the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD: see separate entry)
