The organisation is supporting research and programmes in agriculture, timber certification and tourism. Through the sustainable agriculture network and the Smart Wood programme, both farms, forest areas and timber products are certified.
The Alliance is the initiator of the Sustainable Tourism Stewardship Council, which is conducting a feasibility study into a global accreditation study for responsible tourism operators and businesses.
