The Political Education Academy is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that promotes governance, democracy, parliamentarism and a multi-party system, human rights and decentralization of power.
The Academy conducts fundamental and applied research in politics, economy and law. The topics of research for 2002 were:
- constitutional concepts and local governance
- development of democracy
- problems of realization of constitutional concepts
- civil society formation
Other activities of the Academy include:
- training
- organising seminars
- publishing
The head office of the Academy is situated in Ulaanbaatar. The Academy has 6 branches in Darkhan-Uul, Dornod, Dundgobi, Uvurkhangai, Khuvsgul and Khovd aimags.
