Research centre founded in 1999 by an agreement between the Universidad Mayor de San Simon, Bolivia, and two Belgian universities. The centre is based in the Faculty of Economic Science of the Universidad Mayor de San Simon. Its aims include promoting joint investigation between Bolivian and international researchers and disseminating research through short courses, seminars, conferences and workshops. Main lines of research are:
- decentralised public management
- production and employment
- human development and social equity
- environmental management.
