Interdisciplinary research centre founded in 1999. Aims to develop innovative regional perspectives on globalisation through the study of public politics and contemporary social issues in the countries of the Southern Cone. Brings together researchers from political science, history, education and international relations. During 2001-2003 its two main research headings were “Globalisation, Governability and Institutions” and “Globalisation, Education and Equity”.

The website is in Spanish and includes more information on the Centre, researchers and seminars, and details of its Young Researchers Programme, a biannual competition for predoctoral students/researchers. Seminar papers, variously in Spanish, English and Portuguese, are available to download.
