The CLMS was established in 2001 at the State University Higher School of Economics (HSE). The focus of scientific research is peculiarity of functioning and adaptation of transition economy labour market. Public research seminars are regularly held.
Research areas include:
- labour migration in Russia and CIS
- dynamics, structure and specificity of unemployment in Russia
- labour legislation and labour policy
- public choice exploration.
The website is available in Russian only. It contains details of activities (including information on current projects), profiles of researchers, book reviews, abstracts, and downloadable preprints in both Russian and English.
