<p>Despite the gains that the Philippines has made in many areas in the country’s health care situation, certain bottlenecks remain. As such, o<span style="line-height:1.6em">ne of President Benigno S. Aquino’s inaugural commitments was to ensure quality and affordable health care for each and every Filipino.</span></p>
<p>This policy note offers three new ideas towards achieving this goal: </p>

<li>Bringing back the focus on province-wide health systems </li>
