The University of Virgin Islands (UVI) undertakes teaching and research to provide a comprehensive educational experience and to find international solutions to regional issues facing the Virgin Islands, the Caribbean and the world. The University offers a number of special programs:
- the agricultural experiment station
- the cooperative extension service
- the water resources research institute
In addition to several academic programs including master’s degree programs in public administration, business administration and education, UVI offers research opportunities and a wide range of extracurricular activities and events.
