The Forestry Commission of Ghana is responsible for the regulation of utilisation of forest and wildlife resources, the conservation and management of those resources and the coordination of policies related to them. In addition to providing a range of technical services, the Commission also provides market intelligence to inform both Government and industry on pricing, trade and product trends.
The Commission is made up of the following components, wach of which specialise in their respective areas:
- Forest Services Division
- Wildlife Division
- Timber Industry Development Division
- Wood Industries Training Centre
- Resource Management Support Centre.
