SPIDER, is a Swedish national entity created to unify knowledge resources and make them available to developing countries. The Program has the organizational form of an academic center.
The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, is the main sponsor of SPIDER. The Center will carry out activities within Higher Education, Professional Services and Projects, and External Relations.
The Center is placed at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, KTH, The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, but it will constitute a national entity. This means that the administration and overall management of the Center’s activities will be located in Stockholm, but the different programs are carried out by cooperation partners, which will be Swedish as well as international.
