National Foundation of Science and Advanced Technologies is a non-profit, voluntary organization established in 1997 to develop the scientific and engineering potential in Armenia.
NFSAT’s mission is to promote scientific research and technological development in various fields in conformity with international standards, as well as to develop the scientific and engineering potential in the Republic of Armenia and to provide financial and technological support for scientific research and projects development.
NFSAT’s objectives are to promote and render support in the fields of:
- basic sciences – for implementation of internationally competitive special researches
- applied sciences – for the creation of internationally competitive technologies, devices, new materials with valuable properties, samples with scientific potential, databases, etc.
- humanitarian and social sciences – for the realization of researches promoting Armenological studies, development of democracy and market economy
- experimental sciences – for the optimal use of the available park of scientific devices and its renovation
The foundation also purchases and expands means of the scientific information and promotes the integration of the international and Armenian scientific communities.
The foundation offers different kinds of grants (research, travel, conference participation) for Armenian scientists and engineers.
