Body set up in 1992 to promote and coordinate the Mauritius Government’s investment in research. Advises the Government on science and technology issues and funds research projects in areas of national priority. Its main project areas are biomedicine; biotechnology; energy and energy efficiency; ICT; land and land use; manufacturing technology; science and technology education; social and economic research; and water resources.
