The Latin American Economic System (SELA) is a regional intergovernmental organization which groups 26 Latin American and Caribbean countries in order for them to find joint positions and adopt common strategies for on economic issues. The main areas of interest to SELA include:

  • technical cooperation
  • financing and foreign direct investment
  • economic and social policies

In addition to organizing meetings between experts in these fields, SELA develops seminars, courses and workshops on issues of economic interest for the Latin American and Caribbean region.
