Kindernothilfe (KNH) was founded in 1959 by a group of dedicated christians in Duisburg, Germany, to help children in need in India. KNH supports more than 200,000 children and young people in 27 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. The organisation particularly focuses on school education, vocational training, nutrition and health care, child labour, health, gender equality, as well as community-oriented support to the families of the children. KNH works together with partner organisations located abroad, usually churches, congregations or Christian organisations.
