The Faculty of Economics, University “St. Cyril and Methodius” is a teaching and scientific institution in the area of economic sciences in Macedonia. The scientific-research work is accomplished through preparation of projects with fundamental, developing and implementing character.
Subject matters of research include:
- different questions and problems from the area of the macroeconomic policy
- strategy of the social and economic development
- economic relations of Macedonia with other countries
- management
- marketing
- economy of enterprises
- accounting and business finances
- transformation of the enterprises with public property
- market and prices
- finance and banking.
The Faculty has a well-equipped Library which also serves as the Depository Library of the World Bank and contains the funds of the European documentation centre (EDC). This features numerous publications of the European Commission, Council of Ministers, European Parliament, Economic and Social Committee, Court of Justice and other institutions and bodies of the European Union.
The Faculty also conducts consulting activities, giving professional advice to Macedonian enterprises and their managerial bodies. The institution organises special courses for the needs of professional knowledge of the managerial staff in Macedonia.
Institution’s website features information on study programs and individual departments. The Faculty of Economics’ publishing activity is extensive but none of it has yet been made available online on their website.
