Euro Balkan is a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit think-tank institution which aims to promote and implement the European Union ideas and policies, and to advance the transatlantic cooperation and interdependence of the Republic of Macedonia.

The Research and Analyses Department of Euro-Balkan provides regular information and analyses of the international political, economic and security relations. Particular attention is dedicated to the international relations of Macedonia, the Balkan region and European integration

The “Euro-Balkan” Institute consists of:

  • The Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC)
  • Center for intercultural research
  • Resource Centre for Security and Democracy
  • The Research Center in Gender Studies (RCGS)
  • The Center for Public Administration and Public Policy.

Main activities include:

  • provision of expert assistance (analysis, projections and recommendations) on development issues in general to governmental and non- governmental organisations in the Republic of Macedonia
  • promotion of action projects for strategy design and institutional building in the Republic of Macedonia as well as in the region for implementation of European projects and programs
  • facilitation and improvement of communication between governmental and non-governmental institutions in the Republic of Macedonia and in the region in order to accelerate and sustain regional development as a prerequisite for individual European integration, but also for mutual transatlantic integration
  • creation and development of regional research network aimed at increasing mutual communication, leading towards building a common European regional identity
  • personnel and institutional networking with European and transatlantic research institutions aiming at implementing joint research projects
  • promoting the establishment of a common security regime
  • advocating for further regional economic and political cooperation
  • lobbying for enforcement of European human rights and political standards, and further development of democratic institutions
  • work on regional security projects
  • develop political and economic projects
  • exchange basic daily information
  • organise various conferences, training seminars and workshops for political and NGO leaders, high level public administration officials and businessmen
  • provide expert analysis to various clients on the Balkans.
