Service providing research and information on current practice and innovation across the range of methodologies for impact assessment, and offering advice to regional and country-based Enterprise Development Advisers (EDAs). It is aimed at Enterprise Development Advisors of the Enterprise Development Department of DFID and for those in INGO’s, NGO’s or other organisations involved in ED, and has been EDIAIS has been developed jointly by Institute for Development Policy and Management (IDPM), of Manchester University, and Women In Sustainable Enterprise Development Ltd (WISE Development).

Activities include:

  • management of web site providing information on integrated impact assessment design and methodologies
  • production of written material for dissemination on the key issues in ED impact assessment
  • management of studies on key areas of ED policy
  • advice for enterprise advisers in London and in the country offices on development of IA strategies and assessing impact of specific projects
  • provision of a communication network with other specialists, donors and southern organisations
