The Department of Economics is containted within the Faculty of Social Sciences, itself one of eight faculties within the NUL, hosting approximately one third of the students of the university. The Faculty consists of five departments:

• Business Administration
• Economics
• Political and Administrative Studies
• Social Anthropology/Sociology
• Statistics and Demography
