CEDAR provides computing and Internet work facilities to support international data exchange with the Central and Eastern European environmental community. CEDAR is also a node of the UNEP INFOTERRA Network and operates as the Austrian National Focal Point (NFP) at the Austrian Federal Environmental Agency and other regional and global NFPs to support environmental information dissemination.

WWW on environmental issues, including databases, directories of institutions and experts and catalogue of recent UNEP publications. Site is not currently being updated and is under reconstruction.

Operates a WWW site and a series of dicsussion lists. Products include:

(1) Central and Eastern European environmental expertise database (CEED): see separate entry

(2) Danube Information System (DANIS): database aiming to provide information to environmental professionals and organisations in the Danube countries. Includes programme publication, project data, environmental standards and directory of people involved in project. Also available as a PC based system. Part of the UN Environmental Programme for the Danube River Basin.
