The Center for Social and Economic Research – CASE Ukraine is a non-government non-profit organization founded by Polish CASE Foundation in early 1999. The aim of the Center is to promote research in the economic, political and social spheres and to contribute to the process of development of civil society in Ukraine.
Since 1995 CASE Ukraine staff have worked in a number of joint projects with Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), the Soros International Economic Advisory Group (SIEAG), the Barents Group and others. CASE Ukraine is a member of the CASE Network, founded by CASE Foundation. The network includes think-tanks in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan.
The areas of research which CASE Ukraine concentrate, include:
- Macroeconomic policy
- Enterprise restructuring and development
- Banking sector
- Trade policy
- Social policy
- Public sector reform
