The Center for Advanced Legal Studies is a non-governmental and non-profit, educational and research organisation. It is an association of lawyers, sociologists, economists and historians, established as an initiative of a group of professors of the Faculty of Law, Belgrade University.
The Center aims to contribute to the promotion and practical implementation of ideas concerning the rule of law, a modern market economy and an open and democratic society.
Past and current research projects concern the issues of Human Trafficking, Civil Control of the Military and the Police, Rights of Patients, Constitutionality and the Rule of Law, Status of Invalids and Invalid Organisations in Serbia, Development of Rule of Law In Serbia After October 2000, and others.
The website features descriptions of the Center’s research projects, information on the legal aid provided by the Centre, publishing materials and educational programs in law. Model laws are available for downloading, some in English, most in Serbian.
