We are excited to welcome our newest team members Kinga and Yagna! Here is a bit about their hopes and dreams as they begin work at EDGE.

Yagna Nag Chowdhuri joins us as the Director of Systemic Change. She is passionate about rethinking how we do philanthropy, so that we can build a more just world. Yagna says:

I am excited to join the EDGE team and be part of the EDGE community. Through this role I envision doing a few things: making connections between diverse and divergent perspectives, challenging extractive funding systems, bringing the voices and values upheld by global social justice movements to our work, and embedding the systemic change lens to our practices, strategies, and objectives. I hope that the EDGE community can become a political home for all its members; where members can be their authentic selves, be willing to share and practice new and risky ideas, and be in solidarity with each other. I look forward to this journey and to creating new beautiful and more livable worlds as we go along.

As announced in September, Kinga Wiśniewska joined EDGE as the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships. Kinga says:

As I join EDGE, I reflect on philanthropy’s urgent mission to confront the rising tides of injustice, polarization and extremism faced by our communities around the world. I see so much hope in our members’ everyday work towards systemic justice, and your commitment to supporting each other in this fight. The role of progressive philanthropy in challenging the status quo has never been more necessary, timely and intertwined. I hope that in my role as EDGE’s Director of Philanthropic Partnerships I will be able to support the field of progressive philanthropy to invest in itself, by securing more and better funding that will create long-term financial stability for this important network. I’m really looking forward to learning and working with you all on this exciting journey.
