Informal network of national agencies funding global change research programmes and other activities supporting such research. Holds regular coordination meetings. Some 14 countries are currently involved, along with EC, IGBP, WCRP and HDP. Operates 3 working groups covering:
(1) Global Observations and data management
(2) Resource Issues: maintains a directory of financial resource requirements and resource allocations (latter includes a directory of research projects). Aims to make the directories available online. Paper on strategy for data collection available on WWW
