This faculty of the University of Zagreb has about 8,500 students in the undergraduate programs and about 600 students in the postgraduate programs offered. The Graduate School’s previous name in English had been and its current original Croatian name is “Faculty of Economics”.
The main focus of its very active research unit is economic policy. Research areas include: economic transition and development, capital, demography, quantitative models in economics, computer modeling and simulation of dynamic systems, doing business with foreign countries, forms and issues in foreign trade, tourism, marketing and international marketing.

- Models and methods of operational research in economics and business decision making

- Virtualisation of operation of Croatian enterprises
- Croatian scientific bibliography
Among its publications are:
“Acta Turistica” which publishes refereed papers in the wide range of tourism-related issues. It occasionally publishes survey articles, opinions and book reviews as well as special conference volumes.
“Zagreb International Review of Economics and Business” (ZIREB) which is a general economics and business journal, publishing refereed papers in economic theory, applied economics, econometrics, economic development, economic history, history of economic thought and business. It occasionally publishes survey articles in addition to original papers. The journal occasionally publishes special issues on symposia. It has a book review section.
