The Art and Science of Community Problem-Solving is a learning space for people and institutions worldwide. The site is meant to facilitate work on a wide variety of issues, from housing and health care to education and the environment, from labor and economic development to crime and public safety and “comprehensive” community change. The three main resources f or learning problem solving skills on the website are:

  • strategy tools to help problem solvers approach issues and work with other stakeholders more effectively
  • program tools for responding to specific, substantive problems by learning what works and what doesn’t in a given area (housing, health, education, etc.), often through the clearinghouses and exchange sites available on-line
  • Learning Community, with discussions to help researchers learn from other problem-solvers and make new connections

This website is part of an ongoing research, teaching, and outreach project at Harvard University
