The International Union Against Cancer (UICC) is an international non-governmental association that is dedicated to the global control of cancer. UICC brings together a wide range of organizations from over 90 countries, including voluntary cancer societies, research and treatment centres, public health authorities, patient support networks and advocacy groups, and, in some countries, ministries of health.

Its vision is of a world where cancer is eliminated as a major life-threatening disease for future generations. UICC develops its work in four strategic directions:

  • Cancer prevention and control
  • Tobacco control
  • Knowledge transfer
  • Capacity building and supportive care

UICC organises the World Cancer Campaign and the World Cancer Congress, it also coordinates World Cancer day.
