SmartLessons are brief, 4-page case studies written by International Finance Corporation (IFC) and World Bank staff practitioners about lessons learned in the course of operational projects implemented by the World Bank, IFC, or both organisations jointly. Produced for the last ten years and only recently made available to the external audiences, SmartLessons are indexed by country, region and topics (such as microfinance, agriculture, gender, jobs, fragile and conflict states and other development areas) and include over a thousand case study papers.
The resource also includes SmartBooks, collections of SmartLessons on several key subject areas.
