Email and conferencing system. It is part of the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) network. In addition to email, one can access: a wide range of conferences (also known as bulletin boards) on the system, databases: these cover a wide range of environmental, political, economic and social issues – see under subjects for examples of these; databases (including Third World Resources (see separate entry), information sources on women (Womeninfo), material taken from subject-related conferences, and others); access to the Internet (lynx, telnet, gopher, ftp). There is an online index to conferences and users (including those on other APC systems).
