Libertad y Desarrollo is a private research and study center dedicated to the analysis of economic, political, social and environmental public policies. Libertad y Desarrollo is organized around six core programmatic activities which are:
- national and international economics
- social affairs program
- political & institutional program
- legislative program
- environmental program
- communications program
All of the above programs aim at facilitating the distribution of the studies, analysis and proposals prepared by Libertad y Desarrollo researchers. In addition to research activity, each program organizes meetings and seminars and participates in financing relevant events particularly within Latin America.
LyD produces a variety of publications including articles and studies in both English and Spanish. It also gives an online access to its documentation center and a wide range of research documents. The Libertad y Desarrollo web site is available in Spanish; some sections are translated into English.
