TI-Kenya’s vision is "towards a nation that is truly independent, democratic, peaceful and prosperous". It aims to contribute to this by:
- educating Kenyans about the benefits of increased transparency and accountability, the effects of corruption; and, at a more basic level, to articulate the nature of corruption, its manifestations and why it is wrong
- identifying the most effective ways of increasing transparency and accountability and fighting corruption in a weak institutional environment
- recognising that corruption is global and transcends social, political, economic and cultural systems and that further that globalization continues to introduce new dimensions to the fight against corruption in Kenya
- acting on these realities by ensuring that TI- Kenya plays its role in the context of and in collaboration with the global TI family
- observing the principles of participation, decentralization, diversity, accountability and transparency with TI- Kenya.
- conclusively establishing TI- Kenya as politically non-partisan and recognise that there are strong practical as well as ethical reasons for containing corruption.
